These lovely ladies will facilitate my clinics if I am on delivery suite or have been up all night and catching up on sleep.
INTRODUCING TRISH – Locum midwife
Hi my name is Trish Mulholland and I have been a Registered Midwife since 2011. I was born in Whangarei and have lived here all my life. Northland is my home. I have three adult children and now have two gorgeous grandsons and one beautiful granddaughter.
I practised for 4 years as an LMC midwife and then I had a 2-year break from midwifery practice in 2016. Now I am practicing as a locum midwife and casual core midwife at Whangarei Hospital.
I often help Marie out by doing her Monday antenatal clinics, as well as some postnatal visits when Marie is busy with births or other midwifery care. I am thoroughly enjoying meeting all her lovely clients - this for me, is the nicest part of midwifery, as well as using all my midwifery skills to provide good care. I look forward to sharing some of your pregnancy journey with you.
INTRODUCING ANNETTE - Locum Midwife
My name is Annette, I am originally from Ireland arriving in Whangarei via Australia.
I believe that birth is a sacred and spiritual event as well as a normal life event and should be protected and celebrated as such. I have been a midwife for a long time working mostly in a hospital setting and most recently supporting midwives in the community by providing antenatal and postnatal care.
I work alongside the lead maternity care midwife in supporting women and whanau to make informed decisions that assist with the transition into a new phase of their lives as parents.
It is an honour to be part of your journey bringing new life into the family.
